Describe a typical days work at the Foundation: For now it’s a lot of meetings setting up the program and a lot of work behind the scenes. In Term 4 I’ll be doing home visits with the Deputy Principal and building relationships with the family’s I’ll be working with. At the start of Term 1 2018 I will be helping these families build routine and confidence, getting their children to school and having a better relationship with the community groups, activities and their children. In the future, Recognised Based Training some individuals will be provided also.
Favourite part of being a mentor: Meeting new people, knowing that you may change the direction of ones future path.
Personal inspiration: My whole family and myself – no matter what’s put in front of me I always give it my all to succeed no matter how hard or difficult, even if I fail, at least I tried, that’s my inspiration!
