Success for Hub Business Builder in Bunbury

15 September 2025
Success at the Waalitj Hub Business Builder in Bunbury! The Bunbury Business Builder event brought together Indigenous entrepreneurs and industry leaders to connect, share insights, and explore real opportunities for growth.

Our Waalitj Hub Business Builder event series is providing specialist support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses throughout the state.

Recently we held a Business Builder event in Bunbury, supported by the Alcoa Foundation. Indigenous entrepreneurs and industry leaders came together to explore local partnerships and procurement opportunities. Attendees spent the session connecting, sharing, and building relationships.

Attendees heard presentations from Alcoa, Buru Rehab-Earthworks & Civils, and Veolia, learning more about upcoming opportunities in the area, how to navigate their tender processes and reflected on some of the successes and initiatives of each other’s businesses.

Building connections with industry leaders is key to strengthen and grow a strong, sustainable and competitive Indigenous industry sector.

“The Bunbury Business Builder was a fantastic opportunity to connect with local entrepreneurs and hear firsthand the passion driving their ventures. The energy in the room was inspiring, and it’s great to see such strong Client Mob community engagement.” said Waalitj Hub Business coach Jaime.

Through the Waalitj Hub, First Nations businesses owners have access to a range of free services, including state-of-the-art facilities, mentoring from business coaches, industry connections, and independent professional services and with our in-house coaching team, we offer business assessment and targeted business support.
