The Waalitj Foundation provides targeted assistance to eligible Aboriginal youth job seekers who have barriers to entering training leading to employment and are unable to pay for the costs of addressing these barriers.

Supporting Aboriginal Youth

The program supplements the Foundation’s delivery of pre-employment programs and wrap around support services to Aboriginal youth job seekers by providing funding to address eligible youths’ identified barriers that are not being met through these programs and services. The program will support Aboriginal youth job seekers aged 15-24 years engaged in the Foundation’s pre-employment programs.

Eligible youth can receive support to address multiple identified barriers, for example, the need to pay for high risk training and the associated licence, and the purchase of work-related PPE, to assist them enter the workforce.
