Nicole joins us with over ten years’ experience in ASX Top 20 companies within various roles including Environmental, Security and Emergency Management, Human Resources and Corporate Affairs functions.

As a proud Noongar Warrwa woman, she has strong values of equity, fairness, trust, respect and integrity, combined with an authentic and honest communication style, leading her to roles where she can influence and inspire positive impact.

Nicole is passionate about supporting the self-determination of First Nations Communities with a particular passion for promoting First Nations businesses, recognising the broader ripple effects beyond the transactional economic benefit that this creates.

With the addition of Nicole, we have also welcomed new Corporate and Client Engagement Managers to the Waalitj Hub.

Hamish Johnston – Corporate Engagement Manager

Welcome to Hamish Johnston, our new Corporate Engagement Manager.

Hamish aims to empowering First Nations businesses to thrive as preferred suppliers, while guiding corporates toward more inclusive, and future ready procurement practices.

“I lead initiatives that unlock the power of supplier diversity to drive meaningful social and economic change. By deeply understanding the challenges and actively reducing barriers, I help corporates shift from transactional sourcing to purpose driven outcomes that deliver long term value and create ripple effects of opportunity across communities.” said Hamish.

“I believe real change requires willingness, a journey mindset and genuine collaboration. My approach is grounded in equity, connecting people, building capability, and empowering action to create a fairer, more sustainable economy where procurement becomes a lever for impact.”

Jaime Silva – Client Engagement Manager

Previously a Business Coach at the Hub, Jaime Silva, has also moved into the new Client Engagement Manager role.

Jaime brings extensive experience within both Australian and Latin American Foundations, Non-Profits and Private sectors with expertise in corporate development and the Arts. He is committed to service and social responsibility, especially in the environment/conservation field and Indigenous rights and representation in the public and private sectors. 

The Waalitj Hub supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people wanting to start, grow or sustain their businesses through a combination of in-house business coaching and access to professional support and is supported by the National Indigenous Australians Agency and Corporate partners. Find out more.
