Congratulations to Letisha, who has officially started her new role as a Traffic Controller with Overwatch Group.
Letisha first connected with our Parent Pathways program 12 months ago and has been working hard towards her employment goals while raising her four children as a dedicated single mum.
As she approached the completion of her time in the program, Parent Pathways Mentor Jas referred Letisha for further employment support through our P242 Program where she met Employment Mentor, Sharie.
Recognising her positive attitude, strong work ethic and determination, Sharie put Letisha’s resume forward to Overwatch Group, and she was offered an interview the very next day.
Following a successful interview, Letisha commenced onboarding immediately and has now started work as a traffic controller.
“She has been trying very hard to obtain employment and is such a positive and bubbly person. She is very engaging with a very proactive attitude,” said Shari.
Letisha’s journey is a great example of what can happen when determination meets opportunity. After working hard towards her employment goals, she has now taken an exciting step into the workforce and begun her new role with Overwatch Group.
Plan 2day 4 2morrow (P242) is a pre-employment program assisting Indigenous job seekers. P242 focuses on improving employability of Indigenous job seekers through the development of foundation skills and work readiness.
