What a way to finish the term! Our Deadly Sista Girlz celebrated their incredible efforts and achievements with well-deserved end-of-term rewards.
At the end of each term, our DSG staff organise end of term rewards for the students who have consistently engaged with both the DSG program and their schooling throughout the term. Students who demonstrate DSG values and behaviours, maintain at least 70% school attendance, and remain in good standing at school are invited to take part.
This term, students across our schools enjoyed a range of exciting reward activities, from putting their skills to the test at Zone Bowling and Lost Reality Escape Room, to exploring the wonders of AQWA and meeting the animals at Perth Zoo. Other groups unwound with Puppy Yoga, shared a meal at Kickin’Inn, hit the ice at Cockburn Ice Rink, and jumped into fun at Bounce Inc., creating plenty of memorable experiences along the way.
These activities provide an opportunity to celebrate the hard work, commitment and positive choices our young people make throughout the term. They support our goal of inspiring First Nations girls to thrive in education, health and life, while recognising and rewarding their achievements along the way.
Deadly Sista Girlz Program Manager, Anita Shipley, said recognising students’ achievements is an important part of the program.
“Our girls work incredibly hard throughout the term, and these reward activities are a chance to celebrate their commitment, resilience and growth. Every achievement, big or small, deserves recognition, and we’re proud of the positive choices they continue to make both at school and in the DSG program.”
Congratulations to all our Deadly Sista Girlz on another great term! We can’t wait to see what the final term of the year brings.
