Empower2Employment Program success

18 June 2026
Six participants recently went through the Empower2Employment Workshop, building confidence, setting meaningful goals and gaining practical skills for employment, with strong outcomes already emerging from the group.
Recently Six participants successfully completed our Empower2Employment Workshop, demonstrating strong engagement, commitment, and growth throughout the course.
Delivered in partnership with Link2Labour and Sodexo, the workshop provided a supportive space for participants to build confidence and feel empowered to set realistic meaningful goals and take practical steps towards achieving them. Across the five-day workshop, participants worked through real-life activities and were supported to overcome barriers, such as obtaining ID. They were also connected to a range of relevant resources and support services tailored to their needs.
The workshops go beyond personal development by linking participants with real job opportunities, creating clear pathways into employment and further training.
A key highlight of the workshop was the opportunity for all six participants to take part in individual 1:1 interviews with Chris Cantatore, Talent Acquisition Manager at Sodexo, giving them firsthand experience connecting with a major employer in the utilities and FIFO sector.
Chris said, “Every candidate presented themselves exceptionally well and performed strongly during their interviews. The combination of the Empower2Employment Program, candidate preparation, confidence building, interview coaching and exposure to FIFO expectations is providing participants with the readiness and understanding required to successfully transition into employment opportunities with Sodexo.”
Encouragingly, five out of six of the participants are now advancing to the next phase of the onboarding process with Sodexo. Hayden, our Head of Employment Programs reflected “This outcome reflects both the participants’ readiness for employment and the strength of the partnership in creating real and tangible job opportunities”
Peter Vinci Trainer and Facilitator of the Empower2Employment program said, “Today’s result demonstrates what can be achieved when industry partners, employment services and participants work together with a shared goal of creating genuine employment outcomes. Seeing five participants progress into employment opportunities from a group of six participants is an outstanding achievement and something everyone involved should be proud of.”
