Through our Onslow Family Support Program, we recently donated football boots, socks and bibs to the Onslow Auskick and Junior Football Club, supporting inclusivity and participation.
Recognising the strong requirements around boots, we wanted to ensure that every young person has the opportunity to be part of the club without facing barriers. We’re proud to support initiatives that help young people stay connected, active, and engaged in their community.
Tara Colum, Co-Ordinator at Onslow Auskick and Junior Football Club shared her gratitude, noting that these items will make a meaningful difference for the players, helping them feel comfortable, included, and excited to continue participating. “No boots shouldn’t mean no game. This generous donation ensures no one misses out.”
Our Onslow Family Support staff work closely with local families, community and services to support children’s regular school attendance. Assisting with routines, school pick-ups, and navigating day-to-day challenges so young people can stay connected to their learning and community.
Each semester, our staff delivers 592 school pick-ups and more than 1,200 home visits, providing consistent, hands-on support to local families. Our program is proudly community-led, with 100% of staff identifying as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.
Our Onslow Family Support Program is Supported by Mineral Resources, National Indigenous Australians Agency, Woodside Energy
