Workforce Australia Participants advancing their skills to be job ready!

Last week our Workforce Australia team hosted Warehousing & Pick Packing Ready training for participants in the Goldfield’s region.

Warehousing & Pick Packing Ready is a micro credential for professional development. This training includes non-accredited content with the addition of the following nationally accredited units;

  • TLIA0019 – Despatch Stock
  • BSBWHS211 – Contribute to the health and safety of self and others
  • TLIA0022 – Pick and process orders

On successful completion, learners will receive a Statement of Attainment for all accredited units.

Participants have gained an understanding of the warehousing industry, become familiar with warehouse management systems and processes, and will be able to work safely and be ready for entry level warehouse roles. Having this knowledge will help aid job seeking process, and provide potential employers with the confidence that the jobseekers have achieved these skills.

The Waalitj Foundation mentors deliver the Workforce Australia program in Kalgoorlie with the aim of equipping participants with the skills and knowledge to find meaningful employment.

“It’s great! I’m refreshing a lot of the stuff I already know from experience and now I’ve got a ticket which will help me tick that box when it comes to applying for jobs” – said a Workforce Australia Participant.

Workforce Australia employment services give individuals the knowledge and tools they need to get a job, learn new skills or access the extra support if they need it. To see more info about our Workforce Australia Program see here.
